- Oversize Helix Diameter: Maximizes the clamping force on the belt. One of the largest issues with existing designs is that a small hub limits both the spring coil diameter as well as the maximum force the helix can apply to the belt. Big horsepower cars no longer have to run a double spring.
- Larger Helix Surface: Allows the use of wider rollers that can better distribute the tremendous loads they experience. This is especially true under drag race conditions.
- Replaceable Helix Ramps: TAPP has engineered an elegant solution so only parts of the helix ramps need to be changed when you want to change helix angles.
- Torsionally Adjustable Spring Tension: The design utilizes a torsional style helix cap with adjustable slots which allow the spring torsional tension to be used as a tuning feature.
- Unmatched Performance: All of these design features add up to power, performance and longer belt life. At the 400 wheel horsepower level, it gained 15-20 horsepower to the wheels. Whether you are trail riding, dunning or racing, belt life will be extended when using a properly calibrated TAPP Clutch.
